Fe(III) reductase activity gel. 40 μg of proteins each from crude cellular extract (lane 1) and soluble fraction (lane 2) was resolved by 10% nondenaturing PAGE. The soluble fraction concentrated by ammonium sulfate precipitation (30 to 80%) was applied to a Superdex 200 gel filtration column. Three micrograms of proteins each from fractions 3–13 was also electrophoresed in the same gel. Markers (M) are indicated on the left. Fe(III) reductase activity bands are marked on the right.
