At stations AKR, LNG, SKL, SYO, and TOT, the lower layer anisotropy was suspected to be caused by recent asthenospheric flow. For almost all other stations, the direction of the upper layer anisotropy (corresponds to the “lithosphere”) was parallel to NE-SW convergence during the Pan-African age.
