S1-wave amplitude map has a better correlation to gross A sandstone thickness than the P-wave amplitude map. For the S1-wave amplitude map, the correlation is not good when the sandstone thickness is less than 6.5 m, whereas the P-wave amplitude map does not show good correlation even for thicker sandstones.
