Surgical Treatment for Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Call for Papers

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most prevalent malignant diseases in the world and remains a leading cause of death worldwide. Surgical resection and liver transplantation have been demonstrated as radical treatment options, which could be considered in one-third of HCC patients. Recently, radiofrequency ablation (RFA) could be think as one of the potentially curative treatment options for small HCC (tumor diameter < 3cm). Of course, ethanol injection, cryosurgery, and transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) for HCC could be considered as palliative treatment. We invite authors to submit original research and review articles about surgical methods for HCC. We hope these papers provide and share successful therapies to in humans and also in animal models.

Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Roles of surgical resection, liver transplantation, and RFA
  • Roles of ethanol injection, cryosurgery, and TACE
  • Recent advances in surgical methods for HCC
  • Latest technologies for clinical evaluation and measuring outcomes
  • New animal modes to test surgical therapy strategies
  • Complications of surgical methods for HCC
  • Curative effects of surgical methods for HCC

Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal's Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/ijhep/guidelines/. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/submit/journals/ijhep/surg/ according to the following timetable:
