Real-time quantitative PCR analysis of GalT6 mRNA induction in HASTs treated with IL-1β and TNF-α. Expression of GalT6 mRNA was examined by real-time quantitative PCR using HASTs treated with IL-1β (10−8 to 10−5 mol/L) (a) and TNF-α (10−8 to 10−5 mol/L) (b) for 8 or 24 h. The levels of induction of GalT6 mRNA expression were calculated relative to the control cultures. Data are expressed as the fold increase of mRNA (mean ± SD; SD values from five independent experiments). Comparison of GalT6 mRNA levels elicited by treatment with IL-1β or TNF-α with those of the untreated control. .
