Bacteriophage-Derived Peptidase Eliminates and Prevents Staphylococcal Biofilms

Biofilm staining assay demonstrating disruption of 24 h biofilms of S. aureus DPC5246 after 4 h incubation with at concentrations ranging from 3.91–500 μg/mL. The assay was carried out in triplicate in a flat bottomed 96-well plate. Absorbance readings at 590 nm ( ) are represented in the graph as the mean ± SE. Below the graph is a picture of the stain in the wells prior to solubilisation with acetic acid. The wells correspond to the data represented directly above each set.
