The TIR Domain Containing Locus of Enterococcus faecalis Is Predominant among Urinary Tract Infection Isolates and Downregulates Host Inflammatory Response

TcpF frequency among UTI and commensal isolates. TcpF is associated with cfu > 10e5/mL upon infection of the urinary tract by E. faecalis. TcpF was detected by PCR. Commensals 𝑛=31, UTI > 10e5cfu/mL, 𝑛=68 (*𝑃= 0,028), UTI < 10e5cfu/mL 𝑛=42. Statistical analysis was performed using Chi-squared test.
