Simulation results, using the RCW method, that present the reflectance at normal incidence within the LWIR band as the gold grating period is varied from 1.0 to 5.0 μm. For this simulation, the substrate thickness is fixed at 2.0 μm with a grating duty cycle of 50%. The incident wave was normally incident with parallel polarization.
