With an additional measurement of the external quantum efficiency of the test cell and acquisition of the experimental test spectra, the short-circuit current of the subcells of the test tandem sample under test illumination (dut, exp) can be calculated. The relationship of the differences Δ𝐽^dut,exp_SC  to the differences Δ𝐽^ref,cal_SC  of the short-circuit currents for the reference under calibration illumination is linear.
