Recent Research Progress in Solar Thermal Conversion Theory and Applications
Description
Solar thermal conversion has been the most common and economical way in utilization of solar energy. Solar water heater, solar space heating, and other low-temperature solar thermal technologies have been utilized worldwide and have contributed to reducing the CO2 emissions significantly. In the last decades, great research efforts have been also made to develop solar thermal power, solar space cooling, and other medium/high-temperature solar thermal technologies, and these technologies have been successfully demonstrated and are more and more close to economical practice. This special issue welcomes manuscripts presenting information on any aspect of solar thermal conversion research, development, application, measurement, or policy.
Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
- Solar thermal collectors or solar concentrator
- Solar thermal storage
- Solar thermal power systems
- Smart materials for solar thermal applications
- Photovoltaic/thermal (PV/T) technologies
- Solar desalination
- Solar air conditioning
- Economics of solar thermal applications
