Organic Electronics

Description

Organic electronics is one of the research areas that have seen tremendous development during the last couple of decades. Either marketed applications or prototypes have been realized in organic light-emitting-diode- (OLED-) based displays, OLED lighting, organic photovoltaics (OPV), flexible displays, printed RFID/memory, and sensors. However, the ever-demanding technological scenarios have presented further challenges. The future growth of organic electronics depends on the integration of new functional materials and cost-effective large-area production processes. Thin, light-weight, and flexible devices and environmentally friendly processes are required, and immense effort is devoted worldwide to development of functional materials, substrates, barrier coatings, printing and patterning techniques, and device structures.

We invite investigators to contribute original research articles as well as review articles that will highlight the recent developments in the above areas. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Organic light-emitting diodes
  • Organic photovoltaic cells
  • Organic thin film transistors
  • Sensors/memory elements
  • Organic spintronics
  • Printed electronics
  • Paper electronics

Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal's Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/ijp/guidelines/. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/submit/journals/ijp/oelect/ according to the following timetable:
