Advanced Polymer Particles
Description
Micro- and nanosized polymer particles support today's industries based on cutting-edge technologies. These industries have expanded into various fields, such as electronics, medical care, agriculture, food processing, paper manufacture, civil engineering and construction, communication engineering, water purification, textile modification, and coating. Our lives cannot exist without the polymer particles and associated technologies.
The main focus of this special issue is on new polymer particles, their syntheses and technologies expected to contribute to the developments in such industries and foster the next generation's industries. Explanation of the mechanisms for the preparation and characterization of the polymer particles is also acceptable. This special issue will provide the most recent developments and ideas in this field for researchers. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
- Preparation and characterization of micro- and nanoparticles
- Emulsion, dispersion, and suspension polymerizations
- Controlled ionic and radical polymerizations for polymer surfactants
- Molecular self-assembly
- Micro- and nanocapsules
- Drug delivery systems
- Particles for polymer support
- Biorelated polymer particles
- Polymer particles for optical sensors
- Coating and adhesion
- Applications of polymer particles
