Selected Papers from the 17th Reconfigurable Architectures Workshop (RAW2010)
Description
The 17th Reconfigurable Architectures Workshop (RAW2010) will be held in Atlanta, USA, in April 29-30, 2010. RAW2010 is associated with the 24th Annual International Parallel & Distributed Processing Symposium (IPDPS 2010) and is sponsored by the IEEE Computer Society's Technical Committee on Parallel Processing. The workshop is one of the major meetings for researchers and practitioners to present ideas, results, and on-going research on both theoretical and practical advances in reconfigurable computing.
The program of RAW provides a venue to facilitate creative and productive interaction between all the disciplines of reconfigurable computing. High-quality research papers will be presented, focusing on models and architectures, devices, algorithms and applications, and design technologies and tools.
This special issue aims at providing an important venue to show the best RAW2010 papers to the reconfigurable computing community.
Selection of the workshop papers for inclusion in the special issueThis special issue will accept extended papers selected from the peer-reviewed papers that were accepted for presentation at the International Workshop on Reconfigurable Architectures (RAW2010), http://www.ece.lsu.edu/vaidy/raw/.
The special issue will be handled by the guest editors who will be in charge of:
- Considering the recommendation and prioritizations provided by the RAW2010 program committee members and organizing committee members and paper reviewers
- Coordinating peer reviews of the selected extended papers
- Making a final decision about paper acceptance/rejection according to the reviews
The best-ranked papers evaluated by the RAW2010 program committee will be invited for a submission to this special issue according to the following criteria:
- Quality and originality of the research
- Scientific value and potential impact
- Comments and impression on the presentation of the results in the conference, ensuring that a diverse range of topics of representative, important, and growing research areas of reconfigurable computing and FPGAs will be covered
Since the RAW2010 will have 17 oral presentations of regular paper, 8 selected best papers will be invited as extended submission to the journal. Furthermore, we intend to invite the two keynote speakers to submit a technical paper to this special issue. Their contribution will be valuable information for the reconfigurable computing community.
Note: This special issue is restricted to invited papers from the RAW2010 workshop.
Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal's Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/ijrc/guidelines/. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/ according to the following timetable:
