Aims and Scope

International Journal of Reacting Systems is an open access journal, which is devoted to the publication of original experimental, computational, and theoretical contributions in the broad areas of combustion, energy, and chemically reacting systems involving high-, moderate- and low-temperature phenomena. Examples of systems involving high-temperature phenomena may include but not limited to:

  • Laminar and turbulent flames burning gaseous
  • Liquid and solid fuels in a variety of applications
  • Combustion and pollutants generation in practical systems
  • Combustion synthesis of nanosized powders and other materials
  • Fires
  • Detonations

Examples of moderate- and low-temperature reacting systems may include:

  • Fuel cells
  • Flameless combustion
  • Pollutants formation in environment
  • Fuel reforming
  • Gasifiers
  • Waste treatment
  • Catalytic reactors
  • Material synthesis
  • Biological systems

The journal publishes peer-reviewed papers focusing on both fundamental and applied research dealing with the above and other related topics.
