Pervasive Health Care Services and Technologies

Call for Papers

Due to recent developments in pervasive and ubiquitous computing, health care systems can provide well-informed and high-quality patient care services. A care provider can receive a simplified, adaptive, and latest view of the medical data. Although the medical file is unique, the distributed record could be accessible from any place at any time by care providers.

We welcome the submission of papers from the full spectrum of issues related with health care systems. Papers may focus on architectures, methods, technologies, protocols, prototype developments, case studies, applications, and practical experiences on health care systems.

The list of topics includes, but is not limited to:

  • Care provider and/or mobility
  • Patient at home
  • Empowering patients to manage and improve their own health
  • Patient outcome strategies, techniques, and policies
  • Care networks and information sharing
  • Distributed patient record
  • Sensor networks including body sensors, tactile sensors, and wireless sensors
  • Health care standards for pervasive systems
  • Health ontologies and pervasive systems
  • Information systems for emergency, ambulances, 911
  • Smart home applications for health care systems
  • Privacy, trust, and security in health care systems
  • Energy-efficient communication protocols and data management
  • Monitoring vital signs for elderly and congestive heart failure patients
  • Monitoring chronic medical conditions
  • Integration of smart applications in health care systems
  • Intelligent agent architectures
