The effect of heparin on the Interaction between FXa and ATIII. Lane 1: MWMs. Lane 2: 1.5 μg FXa. Lane 3: 1.5 μg ATIII. Lane 4: [FXa(1.5 μg) + ATIII(1.5 μg)]15′, at R.T. Lane 5: [(FXa(1.5 μg)+H (1 μg)]15′ + ATIII(1.5 μg)]15′, at R.T. Lane 6: [[ATIII(1.5 μg)+H (1 μg)]15′+FXa(1.5 μg)]15′, at R.T. Lane 7: [FXa(1.5 μg)+ATIII(1.5 μg)+H(1 μg)]15′, at R.T. The addition of heparin under varying conditions (lanes 5, 6, 7) indicates that 3° FXa-ATIII is readily generated in the presence of heparin. Concomitantly, FXAγ is generated in the presence of heparin.
