Relative Contributions of Forest Vegetation, Land Cover, Topography and Climate in Explaining Fire Regime Patterns (1974–2005) in Peninsular Spain
Table 3
Eigenvalues obtained for the canonical and the free axis in the RDA analyses performed for the 15 territories. The part on the right shows the ranking and the contribution as a percentage (Lambda A, conditional effects when incorporated in the model) of the best explanatory variables (up to six) selected by the forward selection method. These variables are those displayed in the ordination diagrams and were found to be statistically significant. The number before each variable code indicates the group to which it belongs: (1) type of forest vegetation, (2) type of land cover, (3) topographic characterization, and (4) climatic characterization.
