LHC High-𝜷^∗ Runs: Transport and Unfolding Methods

The geometrical acceptance of the ALFA detector as a function of the proton energy loss (Δ𝐸) and its transverse momentum (𝑝_𝑇) for two LHC settings. The distance between the beam centre and the detector edge was set to 4 mm for early high-𝛽^∗ and to 1.5 mm for nominal high-𝛽^∗.
