Comparison: graphs of error function 𝑒_𝜆 are shown against subdivision levels for the initial polygon (noisy initial data) shown in Figure 1. We used 𝜆=1/2, masks for ternary schemes 𝛼^33,4 and 𝛼^33,4 in (2.3) and (2.4) and masks for quinary schemes 𝛼^53,3 (with 𝑢₀=1/50) and 𝛼^55,6 in (2.5).
