Expression of chemokine receptors on the two major subsets of human NK cells. Resting human NK cells are divided into and subsets. The former express CCR4, CCR7, CXCR4, and CX3CR1, and to a lesser extent CCR1 and CXCR3, whereas the latter cells express CCR4, CXCR4, and CX3CR1, and to a lesser extent CCR1, CCR7, and CXCR3. Upon activation, the upregulate the expression of CCR1, CCR4, CCR7, CXCR3, CXCR4, and CX3CR1, whereas cells upregulate the expression of CCR1, CCR2, CCR3, CCR4, CCR6, CCR7, CCR8, CXCR1, CXCR3, CXCR4, and CX3CR1.
