Mitochondrial Regulation by PINK1-Parkin Signaling

HeLa cells expressing GFP-tagged Parkin (green) were treated with (+) or without (–) 10 <i>μ</i>M CCCP for 3 hrs to disrupt the mitochondrial membrane potential (Δ<i>ψ</i>m). Parkin was moved to mitochondria upon the reduction of Δ<i>ψ</i>m (stained with mitochondrial outer membrane protein Tom20 (red), counterstained with DAPI (blue) for the nucleus).
