Chemical-looping combustion system designed with interconnected fluidized bed reactors similar to a circulating fluidized bed boiler (CFB). The oxygen carrier particles are transported from the air reactor (1), via the main cyclone (2) and particle lock (4) to the fuel reactor (3). The oxygen carrier particles are then returned to the air reactor via an overflow and additional particle lock.
