Wire array metamaterial composed of indium wires in a PMMA fibre, resulting in a tailored permittivity, described by a plasma frequency at approximately 0.2–0.3 THz for radiation with the electric field parallel to the wires. The reduction in transmission at higher frequencies arises from dielectric resonances.
