Immobilization of Aspergillus oryzae  β-Galactosidase on Cellulose Acetate-Polymethylmethacrylate Membrane and Its Application in Hydrolysis of Lactose from Milk and Whey

Temperature activity profiles for soluble and CA-PMMA bound β-galactosidase. Activity of soluble and immobilized β-galactosidase (20 μL) was assayed in 100 mM sodium acetate buffer pH 4.5 at various temperatures (30–80°C) for 15 min. Activity obtained at 50°C was considered as control (100%) for calculation of remaining percent activity for soluble and immobilized enzyme. For symbols, please refer to Figure 2.
