Rural; UUrban. The rural/urban classification was qualitative. All district capitals and towns as big as or with similar facilities to district capitals were considered urban, otherwise rural. Akim Swedru subdistrict, whose main town, Akim Swedru, is also the district capital, had many rural satellite communities as part of the health subdistrict catchment area and hence the high prevalence of that subdistrict.
