Chemiluminescence, Electrochemiluminescence, Fluorescence, and Their Bioassay Applications

Call for Papers

Bioassay, a shortened form of biological assay, is an experimental procedure for the determination of substance by using a suitable biological system in vitro or in vivo. Chemiluminescence, electrochemiluminescence, and fluorescence are the most common forms of luminescence. As analytical techniques, they offer a number of important advantages over other analytical methods due to their versatility, simplified experimental setups, and high temporal and spatial resolution. Therefore, they have proved to be very useful in bioassay applications as highly sensitive and selective methods and have been used widely in the study of the interactions of biological macromolecules, immunoassays, nucleic acid detections, analysis of natural products, imagings, and so on.

We invite investigators to contribute original research articles as well as review articles with a focus on the newest developments of chemiluminescence, electrochemiluminescence, and fluorescence and their applications in bioassays. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Development of new luminescence analytical methods
  • Quantitation of the concentration of known substances
  • Determining the specificity of certain substances
  • Assessing environmental pollutants
  • Applications in the total food chain
  • Drug screening
  • Microscopy
  • Cancer diagnosis and treatment
  • Instrumentations and online technologies

Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal's Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/jamc/guidelines/. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/submit/journals/jamc/cefba/ according to the following timetable:
