Total score (unadjusted) of the Guralnik short physical performance battery for each participant by age. For the “mothers” a score <7 indicates a low level of physical performance for the lower limbs. For the daughters it is suggested that a score <11 indicates low physical performance. Linear regression is used to fit the distribution of scores for each subgroup (mother UK, mother BD, etc.). These regression lines represent between-individual change and not aging.
