Subgraph patterns were identified that represented local graph topologies and compared to their frequency in random graphs. (a) Significant cell-graph patterns not found in random graphs. (b) Patterns found equally in random and cell-graphs and are therefore not significant. (c) Histogram of all patterns common among cell-graphs plotted as the absolute difference between frequencies in random versus cell-graphs. Patterns at the extremes indicate significant patterns.
