Supplementary Material

Table 1 of the supplementary material describes the selection of severe or chronic diseases, as previously reported by Knottnerus et al. As this is a very comprehensive list of diseases, results were only reported in the manuscript for the most common diseases or if statistically significant.

Table 2 describes the prevalence of these diseases at time of cancer diagnosis or reference date and the corresponding odds ratios and 95% confidence intervals in older cancer patients compared to non-cancer patients. Table 3 describes similarly the incidence of these diseases after cancer diagnosis or reference date, including their corresponding hazard ratios and 95% confidence intervals in older cancer compared to non-cancer patients.
