Synthesis of the compounds(6a–6p). Reagents are (i) acetyl chloride, TEA, THF, 0–5°C; (ii) Br₂, AcOH; (iii) thiobenzamide derivatives, EtOH, r.t.; (iv) 10 % HCl, EtOH, reflux; (v) chloroacetyl chloride, TEA, THF, r.t.; and (vi) appropriate 4-substituted piperazine derivatives, K₂CO₃, acetone, reflux.
