Production and Characterization of Alkaline Protease from a High Yielding and Moderately Halophilic Strain of SD11 Marine Bacteria

Screening of strain SD11 for protease activity. Isolate was streaked on the agar plate containing skimmed milk powder and 10% NaCl, incubated for 24 h at 37°C. The clear hydrolysis zone indicated the hydrolysis of skimmed milk.
