Diabetic 𝐴𝑘𝑖𝑡𝑎-𝐿𝐷𝐿𝑟^−/− mice and nondiabetic 𝐿𝐷𝐿𝑟^−/− mice have similar levels of regulatory T-cells. Splenocytes from 24-week-old 𝐴𝑘𝑖𝑡𝑎-𝐿𝐷𝐿𝑟^−/− and 𝐿𝐷𝐿𝑟^−/− mice were analysed for regulatory (CD4+CD25+FoxP3+) T-cells (a), activated (CD4+CD69+) T-cells (b) using flow cytometry or basal (c), and ConA stimulated (d) proliferation.
