Effect of change in concentration of ammonium sulphate during TPP on oil yield (%, w/w). The aqueous algal suspension was ultrasonicated and was subjected to TPP at 40°C as described in the methods, Section 2.5. Ammonium sulphate concentration was varied (%, w/v) and in each case the oil obtained was expressed in terms of %, w/w, dry weight of algae. Each set was performed in triplicate and the deviation between the sets of experimental data was within 2%.
