Effect of ultrasonication on oil yield by Soxhlet extraction and by TPP. The algal suspension was sonicated, filtered, and subjected to Soxhlet extraction with hexane or TPP as described in the methods, Section 2.5. Each set was run in triplicate and the variation between the experimental data was within 2%.
