Sustainable Energy and its Novel Technologies
Call for Papers
The renewable and sustainable energy development is making the national economy more secure and sustainable. Novel technologies are urgently needed to increase the energy conversion efficiency, overcome grid integration challenges in the stressed and highly volatile energy environment, and, consequently, support the growing penetration of renewable energy into power and energy systems.
The main focus of this special issue will be on the renewable and sustainable energy and its novel technologies and how to use it effectively and efficiently. This special issue will become an international forum for researchers to summarize the latest developments and ideas in the field, with a special emphasis given to the technical and observational results obtained within the last five years. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
- Renewable energy resources and systems, such as hydropower, wind power, solar energy, hydrogen and fuel cells, and batteries
- Power electronic interfaces enabling grid connection of distributed generations
- Optimal control technologies for renewable energy systems
- Models and algorithms for the integration of renewable energy into power grids
- Risk management under renewable energy uncertainty
- Operation, planning, and marketing issues of renewable energy integrations
- Sustainable transportation with vehicle-to-grid and grid-to-vehicle technologies
- Energy efficiency building
- Future challenges and directions of sustainable energy applications
