Recent Progress in Computational Electromagnetics for Computer-Aided Engineering
Call for Papers
With rapid development of numerical methods and high-performance computer, computational science has become one important discipline; many complicated engineering problems can be successfully solved by numerical modeling, computation, and analysis. Since its emergence, computational electromagnetics (CEM) has been playing an important role in the computer-aided engineering of various electronic systems, devices, and components. The tremendous advancement of CEM in the past decades has led to a few widely used commercial simulators. However, there are still many challenging problems including multiscale problems and large-scale problems in this area, whose solution needs the CEM community’s continuing effort. In order to drive further development of CEM, it is desirable to exchange the most recent progress in CEM. This special issue will provide an international forum for researches and engineers to summarize and present the most recent developments and new techniques in CEM, with a special emphasis given to the new techniques and results obtained within the last five years. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
- Adaptive frequency sampling algorithms
- Domain decomposition methods
- Fast sparse/dense matrix-equation solvers
- Hardware acceleration techniques
- Hybrid solution techniques
- Modeling of multiscale structures
- Novel solution of integral/differential equations
