Gas hydrate-bearing sediments collected by piston cores in Joetsu Basin. Blocky- and fracture-filling gas hydrate can be observed. Both nondisturbed and soupy sediments disturbed during piston coring were sampled and analyzed to compare with nondisturbed sediments collected far from mounds.
