A Possible Link between Infection with Burkholderia Bacteria and Systemic Lupus Erythematosus Based on Epitope Mimicry

Burkholderia fungorum bacterial protein purified by anti-dsDNA antibodies affinity column. The eluate from the column was examined by 12.5% SDS gel. The result shows that purified proteins contain two major bands, one is 35 KD bacterial protein and the other one is 25 KD bacterial protein.
