A Novel Platelet Activating Factor Receptor Antagonist Reduces Cell Infiltration and Expression of Inflammatory Mediators in Mice Exposed to Desiccating Conditions after PRK
Figure 1
In vivo confocal microscopy images of corneal epithelium in mice after PRK and exposure to desiccating environment with and without treatment with LAU-0901. Increased number of reflective structures was observed in the corneal epithelium after PRK and exposure to DE in eyes treated with vehicle as compared with eyes treated with LAU-0901 ( cells/mm² versus cells/mm²). The increase in the number of reflective bodies was more significant in the vehicle group compared with LAU-0901 treated eyes.
