CpG Oligodeoxynucleotides Enhance the Efficacy of Adoptive Cell Transfer Using Tumor Infiltrating Lymphocytes by Modifying the Th1 Polarization and Local Infiltration of Th17 Cells

CpG-ODNs enhanced the local proliferation of CD4+ T cells and CD8+ T cells. TILs were collected from lung cancer patients ( ) and treated with CpG-ODNs or control CpG-ODNs as described in Materials and Methods. autologous TILs were transferred into the tumor bearing Balb/c nude mice with 100 ug CpG-ODNs or control CpG-ODNs through tail vein. Four days later, the recipients were treated with 2 mg BrdU i.p. every other day and up to a cumulative dose of 8 mg BrdU. Eight hours after the last BrdU injection, the lymphocytes were isolated from tumor mass and the proliferation of CD4+ T cells (a) and CD8+ T cells (b) was examined by FACS. .
