Effect of LTA on NOD and B6 DCs cytokine production and surface marker expression. BM-DCs from NOD mice were stimulated in vitro with 10 μg/mL of LTA from S. aureus (LTA), 100 ng/mL of LPS, or medium alone (—or none). After 24 hrs, supernatants were collected and measured by ELISA for the presence of IL-10 (a) or IL-12 (b), or cells were collected and labeled with anti-CD11c, anti-CD11b, and anti-B7-1 (c) or anti-B7-2 (d) antibodies, and analyzed by FACS after gating on CD11b+CD11cint cells.
