Proliferative responses in PBMCs of individuals infected or not by zoonotic Vaccinia virus. Peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) from patients infected or not with zoonotic Vaccinia virus were cultured in the presence of PHA (a), UV-inactivated virus (b) or mock-treated (medium). After 6 days of stimulus, the cell proliferation was determined by [3H]thymidine incorporation.
