Effect of propofol pretreatment on LPS-induced generation of ROS. After a 40 min incubation following 50 μM propofol or dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) treatment, cells were stimulated with LPS for 40 min then stained with 2 μM dye hydroethidine (DHE) and incubated for 30 min at 37°C in the dark. Nuclei were stained with DAPI.
