Splenocyte cell proliferation in response to nucleosomes. Splenocytes derived from three of the nephritic mice showed increased proliferation in response to nucleosomes; LMW heparin did not interfere with proliferation magnitude or kinetics ((a), (b), and (c), proliferation is shown as stimulation index (SI)). Apparently no proliferation was seen in cell cultures from two of the nephritic mice ((d), (e)), although responses in cpm indicate that the cells proliferate ((d), (e), inserted figures). Proliferations in medium for individual mice are shown as cpm (f).
