Induction of ER stress dysregulates LPS-induced inflammatory cytokine release. THP-1 cells ( cells/mL) were treated with tunicamycin (10 μg/mL) or DMSO overnight prior to LPS exposure (40 ng/mL) for 6 hr. Supernatants were collected and 50 μL was used to measure cytokine and chemokine release using the Luminex based magnetic bead assay (see Section 2).
