CTLA4Ig Improves Murine iTreg Induction via TGFβ and Suppressor Function In Vitro

CTLA4Ig directly inhibits CD4 T cell proliferation in vitro. For proliferation assays, 4 × 106 T naïve B6 responder cells were stimulated with plate-bound anti-CD3 in the presence or absence of high levels of IL-2. CTLA4Ig was added to T cell cultures at different doses. Stimulation indices (SI; calculated in at least triplicates divided by pooled medium controls) were compared to controls without costimulation blockade.
