Venom from <i>Bothrops lanceolatus</i>, a Snake Species Native to Martinique, Potently Activates the Complement System

<div>Effect of <i>B. lanceolatus</i> venom exposure on C-regulator expression on endothelial cells. EA.hy926 cells (10<sup>6</sup> cells/mL) were incubated with <i>B. lanceolatus</i> venom (100 <i>μ</i>g/mL) for 2 h. After incubation with DAF-, MCP-, and CD59-specific antibodies, the fluorescence was assessed by flow cytometry. The results are representative of two experiments, carried out in triplicates.
