Effect of olanzapine treatment on 5-LOX and FLAP protein contents. 3T3-L1 cells were differentiated into adipocytes in the presence and absence of 50 μM olanzapine. Samples were collected 5 days after the initiation of the differentiation protocol. The content of 5-LOX and FLAP proteins was assayed by quantitative Western blot. The optical density of the 5-LOX and FLAP bands was corrected by the density of the corresponding β-actin bands (examples shown in a). The results (b) are expressed as a percentage of the corresponding β-actin values (mean ± SEM; ); * versus the corresponding vehicle-treated control.
