Upconversion luminescence and Visible-Infrared Properties of β-NaLuF4:Er3+ Microcrystals Synthesized by the Surfactant-Assisted Hydrothermal Method

Figure 5

UCL spectra pumped by 1.54 μm laser diode with power density of 16 mW/mm2 for β-NaLuF4:  mol%Er3+ ( ) synthesized using EDTA as the chelator for EDTA/Ln3+ ratio of 3 : 1 (a), using PVP as the chelator for PVP/Ln3+ ratio of 3 : 1 (b), and using Ct3- as the chelator for Ct3−/Ln3+ ratio of 2 : 1 (c) and 3 : 1 (d). Insets are corresponding high magnification SEM images of the samples. All of the samples were hydrothermally treated with the same condition except for the molar ratio of chelators/Lncl3.
