Ultra-Sensitive Colorimetric Plasmonic Sensing and Microfluidics for Biofluid Diagnostics Using Nanohole Array

Figure 12

Typical optical setup for the measurement of transmission through nanohole sensor. (a) In spectroscopic measurement, in which the spectrum of the transmitted light is acquired, a broadband illumination is incident on the nanohole sensor and the transmitted light is collected using a fiber optic coupled to a spectrometer. (b) In colorimetric measurements, in which the intensity of the transmitted light through a color filter (e.g., Bayer color filter) is acquired, a broadband illumination is incident on the nanohole sensor, and the transmitted light is passed through a color filter and imaged using a charge-coupled device (CCD) camera.
